The Affianced Life

Last weekend was full of fun and our favorite people.  We teamed up with two of our dearest, Rachel & Charles, to throw an engagement party on behalf of the newly affianced Mr. Robbie Fairchild and Miss Tiler Peck.  We adore Robbie & Tiler and were thrilled when they returned from Paris in early April, Tiler with a sparkler on her left hand.  (And let me tell you, that thing sparkles.)  We'd been in on the gig the whole time, trying not to spill the secret to Tiler when she elaborated about a faux-photoshoot she'd been lead to believe would take place in Paris.  Instead, Robbie brought her to the top of the Sacre Coeur and asked that she would be his wife.  

The minute I knew Robbie would be popping the question I popped one of my own: could we please, pretty please throw you a party to celebrate?!  And celebrate we did.  Both Tiler and Robbie's families were able to join us, from California and Utah, respectively.  We all had a wonderful time drinking our signature cocktail, the Tiler (served with a twist, perfect for any respectable ballerina) and munching on cheeses, charcuterie, rotisserie chicken, freshly shelled pea salad, and other snacks.  Robbie's very favorite sweet is cheesecake, so I made some admittedly addictive dulce de leche cheesecake bites for dessert.

Congratulations, Robbie & Tiler.  We can't wait to watch your life together grow.

1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
Top with champagne
Serve with a twist
