Lemon Scented Foot Soak

I'm 39 weeks and 1 day pregnant and feeling great.  All things considered, I'm comfortable and well-rested.  I have lots of energy and I feel calm.  Except my feet!  My feet are swollen to epic proportions and it makes it uncomfortable to get around.  Even my flip flops are too small!  But I've worked out a great at-home remedy that feels like bliss and temporarily reduces swelling and discomfort.  All you need is a large mixing bowl, a towel, 1 lemon, and a box of epsom salt (available at any drugstore for roughly $5).

While you heat a tea kettle on the stove, add 1 lemon, sliced, to your mixing bowl with a half cup of epsom salt.  When heated to the desired temperature, pour tea kettle over lemon and salt mixture.  The salt will dissolve immediately and the lemon will smell like heaven.  Submerge your little piggies for 15-20 minutes and relax.  Towel dry your toes when finished.  Epsom salt will relax your muscles, reduce swelling and draw toxins out from your body.  So don't be afraid to draw a full bath with this method rather than a foot soak.  In that case, use 2-3 cups of epsom salt and 3 lemons.
