Sunday in Connecticut

John Bennett Zaitzeff received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism this past Sunday, November 17th.  The ceremony was held in my hometown in Connecticut at a tiny, beautiful congregational church whose roots are owed to the Revolutionary War.  It was a lovely ceremony full of love and community and was performed by the minister who baptized me.  Peter and I were married at the Museum of the City of New York by a federal judge (a different but equally wonderful experience), so I never had the opportunity to show him my beloved little church at home.  I was so thrilled to have the chance.

Jack wore a beautiful little Makie swiss cotton bonnet.  By the time these photos were taken, he'd had enough of it, but we were able to capture it in a few professional photos.  He didn't cry once during the ceremony, and although I can't say the same for the service, I think the whole affair was a smashing success.  So happy to have lots of photos of his extended family from the event to print for his baby book.

Lots of thanks giving to be had this year.
